If your GCMS notes flag your CEC application as 'review required for eligibility' and show 0 months/0 years of Canadian experience even though you clearly listed a real job with dates:
- Check whether you included detailed roles and responsibilities for each position in your work history, not just the employer name, job title, and dates.
- IRCC does not count experience toward eligibility if the roles and responsibilities aren't listed for that designation — the system needs this detail to match your work against your claimed NOC/TEER code, so a missing description effectively zeroes out that period.
- If you missed this, submit the roles and responsibilities via webform as a correction, ideally referencing the specific position and dates from your original application.
This is a common but avoidable gap — always fill in roles and responsibilities as thoroughly as possible for every position listed in your work history section, even ones that feel self-explanatory from the job title.
