A repeat medical exam request can be confusing if there's no obvious place in your online profile to upload the new receipt or confirmation.
What group members said:- A common reason for the re-medical request is simply that your previous exam has expired — medicals are generally valid for one year, so if enough time has passed since your original exam, a new one is expected.
- If you proactively completed a new medical exam on your own (before IRCC formally requested it), IRCC may not automatically know about it. In that case, send the receipt/slip through the IRCC webform, and follow up with a phone call to make sure it's linked to your file, since there may be no automatic profile field for it.
Don't assume the system will pick up a self-initiated medical automatically — submitting proof via webform and calling to confirm it's attached to your application is the safer approach.
