If you completed an upfront medical exam before submitting your PR application, but later receive a new medical request with an IME (Immigration Medical Examination) number, group members suggested a straightforward response.
What to do:- Submit a webform informing IRCC that the medical exam was already completed upfront, referencing your original exam details.
- Once the webform is raised, no further action is typically needed — you wait for IRCC to process and reconcile the duplicate request internally.
- A likely reason for the repeat request: medical exam results are generally valid for only about one year. If enough time has passed since your original exam, IRCC's request may reflect that the earlier result is approaching or past its validity window rather than being a mistake.
If your original medical is still within its validity period, the webform should resolve the duplicate request without needing a new exam.
