If your PR application tracker shows every section complete, but your GCKey account still shows 'Background: We are processing' and 'Eligibility: We are reviewing' with no email update, this is generally normal rather than a sign of a problem:
- GCKey status often lags behind other indicators. Members reported that GCKey typically updates later in the process, even after other parts of their file (like the tracker) show completion.
- A 'Final Decision: in progress' message can appear in your profile even while background check still shows 'processing.' IRCC will send a message once the final decision is made — so the absence of an email doesn't mean nothing is happening.
In short: mismatched or lagging statuses between the PR tracker and GCKey are common at this stage and don't necessarily indicate an issue with your file.
