If you realize after submitting your PR application that your uploaded photo didn't meet IRCC's specifications (size, background, pose, etc.), this is generally a fixable, non-fatal issue:
- It's usually not a serious problem. One applicant in the group had a non-compliant photo and IRCC simply requested a new one after the file had already started processing — it didn't derail the application.
- You don't have to wait to be asked. You can proactively submit a corrected photo through the web form, along with a short explanation of the issue, rather than waiting for IRCC to flag it.
- Keep an eye on correspondence for a formal request, since IRCC may still reach out asking specifically for a compliant photo before finalizing your file.
Bottom line: a photo specification issue is a minor, correctable administrative point — proactively fixing it via web form is a reasonable step, but it's unlikely to cause a refusal on its own.
