Applicants already in Canada on a work permit, who applied for PR outside Express Entry, sometimes need to travel internationally while their application is in process and worry about biometrics and police certificates.
What group members advised:- You don't need a new Police Certificate (PCC) if the travel happens after your AOR. The PCC requirement is tied to when you applied, not to every trip you take afterward.
- Biometrics can be collected from anywhere in the world, at any facility that offers biometrics collection for Canada — you're not required to be physically in Canada or your home country specifically.
So if a biometrics request arrives while you happen to be abroad (e.g. in India), you can complete it at a local facility there instead of waiting to return to Canada.
