If you completed an upfront medical exam and uploaded proof with your study permit application, but IRCC's portal later shows a new medical request, this is a fixable mismatch rather than a real second requirement.
What group members advised:- Contact your medical exam clinic first and confirm the status of your report — sometimes the panel physician hasn't finished submitting results to IRCC's system (eMedical), which can trigger a portal request even though the exam was already done.
- Email IRCC directly if the issue isn't a clinic-side delay. One member confirmed they went this route after being told a webform alone wasn't enough.
- Combine the webform submission with your medical receipt and a brief written explanation — send proof of the completed medical (the receipt) along with a short note clarifying that an upfront medical was already taken and uploaded, to correct the record.
Bottom line: first rule out a delay on the clinic's end, then use IRCC's webform (with proof and explanation attached) or a direct email to clear up the duplicate request.
