An applicant whose study permit was refused (application filed by a consultant they no longer wanted to use) wanted to reapply themselves or with a different consultant, but didn't have login access to the original application portal account and wasn't sure whether the former consultant was genuinely CICC-registered.
- Check whether you signed a Use of Representative form. A member's first question narrows the issue: anyone legitimately acting as your CICC-registered representative needs you to have signed this form — it's the paper trail that defines what authority they had, and matters if you want to formally revoke their representation.
- You can lodge a fresh application without the old login. Multiple members confirmed you're not blocked from reapplying just because you lack the previous portal credentials — since you already have your UCI number, documents, and GCMS notes, you have what's needed to start a new application (potentially with a new account).
Caveat: be cautious about anyone in a public group offering to 'retrieve your previous credentials' via private message — verify identity and legitimacy independently, or go through IRCC's official channels, rather than trusting an unsolicited offer.
