For a Super Visa application for parents while the sponsoring child is in Canada:
- Biometrics location: the parents' biometrics (fingerprints) must be given in their home country, not in Canada — this is why the application effectively needs to be handled from where the parents are (e.g. India), even if the sponsoring child submits or manages parts of it from Canada.
- Who can submit the online application: the sponsoring child can submit and manage the online application from within Canada, but the parents themselves must be located outside Canada for this to work correctly.
- Booking biometrics: the sponsor can register the parents for biometrics with the relevant application center (e.g. VFS Global) and coordinate the other steps remotely, even while based in Canada.
Bottom line: you can prepare and submit much of the paperwork remotely from Canada, but your parents' physical presence outside Canada is required for biometrics, so plan the process around their location, not yours.
