My friend will collect my PR card in my absence. But, my another friend landed in march 2023 told me that immigration officer told him on the airport that he can not leave the country unless and until he receives the PR CARD. Even, when a courier guy came to his door, he did not put the pr card in mail box. Courier guy asked for my friend and directly handed over the PR card to my friend, courier guy was not even ready to hand over the PR card to my friend's mom. It was shocking. Since I am now planning for soft landing. Will it be possible that my friend will collect my PR card in my absence??? Please provide your inputs here, also, please share your experience who did soft landing recently and the PR card was collect

Can someone else receive your PR card by mail during a soft landing?

To the best of my knowledge the PR is always dropped in the mail box like any other mail. There must be some other issue with your friend.
Canada post is least bothered about non-trackable posts! They just simply put in the mailbox
Not true to my experience.. they put mine in our landlord mail box recently..not in person
