Hey Everyone, I'm doing soft landing next week, if the immigration officer asks about the duration of stay. Should I tell them it is a short stay or not, I read here that some people told them that they are here only for a short time and their PR cards were not initiated. Please guide what to say if asked? Soft landing: what to say about your length of stay, and why a short stay can't void your PR

Sara Zah even if they ask you and they don't initiate your pr card, that doesn't mean that you are not a permanent resident. You will still be a permanent resident and you can call ircc and give them your address and ask for the card to be processed

I don't think they ask that. They might ask you for the purpose of landing, then you answer you are landing as a PR for the first time.

Tejus Sharma Thank you, even if I have already booked a return flight? They can't check that right?

You say coming for permanent settlement as pr as that's your end goal.
