CanadaExpress Entry17Hi guys! Kind of urgent! I am on my pgwp expiring in march 2024. I have been working for 1 year full time in toronto. However, I am not getting my 50 points for the same. Im stuck on 515 points and need it to go up before thw next predicted draw - jan 10. I also qualify for federal stream. While applying im stuck on the LMIA questions. 1) Since I am on pgwp I am exempt from LMIA, so what option should I chose while applying for express entry? 2) if I am not exempt, please explain why? Ubaid Shahid no. ICT (internal company transfer is also lmia exepmt) meaning company in India have office in Canada lik HCL company... so if you're working in HCL in India and they want to transfer you to Canada office it won't need lmia. Many IT guys here on ICT.
On the same page you can click on the 'valid job offer' link. It should let you know what they mean exactly by a valid job offer. Having a PGWP doesn't exempt you from requiring an LMIA.

Ubaid Shahid lmia or lmia exempt (both are emplpyer specific/closed work permit) but certainly not pgwp/owp.
Shakeel Khan lmia exemption is a different case mostly for business visa holders.
